Bryn Murray, vice-president, Wolseley Industrial Canada Inc., has announced that Wolseley Industrial has acquired all of the assets of the pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF) supply business of Goodman Industrial. Established in Esterhazy, SK, and operational since 1970, Goodman is a wholesale distributor of industrial materials primarily serving the potash industry in Saskatchewan. Operating out of its facility in Esterhazy, Goodman has 12 employees and a long history of success as a privately-held, customer-centric PVF supply business.

“We’re excited to welcome everyone from Goodman to the Wolseley Industrial family. The Goodman employees will play an important role in helping Wolseley Industrial continue to grow and achieve success,” says Murray. “The acquisition of Goodman Industrial strengthens the position of Wolseley Industrial in the Saskatchewan market and we will continue to foster a customer-first value proposition building on Goodman's long history of service and support.”

Goodman will immediately transition its operations to the Wolseley Industrial name, and the team will report to Jason Santha, Saskatchewan branch area manager, Wolseley Industrial. Goodman’s president and CEO, Darrell Tochor, has elected to retire from the business, and Michelle Shire will continue on as the sales manager for the new Wolseley Industrial location.

Launched in 2013 to provide an expanded breadth of products under a single business unit, Wolseley Industrial Canada Inc. leverages its two founding Wolseley Canada divisions (Meridian and Wolseley EPG) to provide supply solutions to industrial markets.
