Industrial Supply Resupplies Burglarized Habitat For Humanity Project Site

SALT LAKE CITY — Industrial Supply Company came to the rescue with their annual tool donations after nearly all of the tools were stolen from one of Habitat for Humanity’s major construction sites in June.

Each year, Industrial Supply donates tools to ReStore, Habitat for Humanity’s affiliate program. This year they were able to step in just after a recent burglary from one of Habitat for Humanity’s construction sites and provide the tools needed for the construction to go on.

Industrial Supply was founded on the philosophy that building their community is equally as important as building their business. They support many local charities and non-profit organizations throughout Utah.

“Giving back to our community has always been a top priority,” said Phil Thompson, Industrial Supply’s Chairman. “We have seen the power of stepping outside of our own circle to build relationships within our community, providing our resources and services where we can. We wouldn’t be Industrial Supply if we stopped helping.”

Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry, seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness worldwide by building or renovating simple houses for those in need. The Salt Lake Valley Chapter has been in operation since 1986, and remains the largest Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Utah. They partner with homeowners, local businesses like Industrial Supply, donors and communities to provide shelter to those in need.

“We have so many special contributors to our organization and there is one that we cannot keep a secret. Industrial Supply has an ongoing commitment to our mission. We are pleased to call them our friends. We encourage you to support Industrial Supply,” said Ed Blake, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity.
