Altra Industrial Motion Corp. (Nasdaq:AIMC), a global manufacturer and marketer of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products, today announced the acquisition of Guardian Industries, Inc. Founded in 1941 and based in Michigan City, Indiana, Guardian manufactures a wide range of products including shaft couplings, motion control couplings, flywheel couplings, hydraulic pump drives, compressor drives and PTO shafts and bearing supports. The company has a dedicated workforce of 47 people and had 2013 revenues of $10 million.
