Schrader® New Executive Hire Demonstrates Continued Leadership in the North American Aftermarket

Denver, CO - Schrader International, a leading global manufacturer of sensing and valve solutions, continues an ongoing commitment to its aftermarket customers and distribution partners in the U.S. and Canada through the addition of Frank Frederick as vice president of sales and marketing for the North American aftermarket.

In this position, Frederick will be responsible for sales leadership, business growth, training and sales initiatives within the aftermarket sector. This includes promotion of Schrader’s market-leading innovations, such as EZ-sensor ®, the industry’s first patented and programmable TPMS replacement sensor covering more than 90 percent of TPMS-equipped vehicles.

“We are truly excited about having Frank join the Schrader team,” said Hugh Charvat, president and CEO of Schrader. “With more than 25 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, Frank’s sales experience, leadership skills, reputation, knowledge of the industry, and his enthusiasm will be valuable to our continuing success in North America.”

Most recently, Frederick led the North American Light Duty aftermarket sales team for Remy International, Inc. Past experiences also include sales leadership roles at Walker Products, Inc., ROL Manufacturing of America and Allparts, Inc.

“I’m enthused and energized to become a member of the Schrader team and continue their brand leadership for TPMS in the aftermarket space,” said Frederick. “I’m excited to bring the devotion Schrader has shown to cutting-edge technology, education and training initiatives with our retail and distributor partners in an effort to help aftermarket service providers supply the best solutions for their customers and the consumer.”

Frederick joins Schrader following a year in which the company was recognized by Frost & Sullivan ® as a market leader for the design and manufacturing of valve and sensing technologies for TPMS, in both the original equipment and aftermarket channels. He will draw upon his experience in executive sales leadership roles to continue Schrader’s track record of delivering innovative Direct TPMS technology, along with the dedicated sales support, hands-on training, and customer service that differentiates Schrader’s position in the aftermarket.

The automotive aftermarket, especially within the Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) category, has grown significantly in the last few years as has the demands on tire retailers, technicians, and distribution networks. With service and repair businesses implementing best practices to handle the more than 104 million TPMS-equipped vehicles on the road and growing steadily (more than 40 percent of the current U.S. car park, growing to more than 90 percent by 2023), and consumers continuing to expect reliable safety systems that keep them safe on the road, the need for best-in-class supplier partnerships is at an all-time high.
