ISA Members Are In Growth Mode

The ISA Manufacturer Index rose from 63.2% in February to 66.0% in March, while the Distributor Index increased from 59.2% in February to 65.0% this month. The Indexes have been above 50% since December 2012.

Business is good for manufacturer and distributor members of the Industrial Supply Association, according to the recent ISA Economic Indicator Report (EIR).

The ISA Manufacturer Index rose from 63.2% in February to 66.0% in March, while the Distributor Index increased from 59.2% in February to 65.0% this month. For each index, a reading above 50% indicates expansion, while a reading below 50% indicates contraction. The Indexes have been above 50% since December 2012.

“The quarter ended on a positive note for ISA members,” said Bryon Shafer, general manager of ASG Industrial and chair of ISA’s Strategic Information Committee. “Our members anticipate that business will remain strong, as the New Orders Index and the Business Conditions Index showed improvement from the previous month.”
