SaaS transportation management system provider initiates operation in Brazil to increase presence in Latin America

Evanston, IL and Utrecht, the Netherlands – Eyefreight, a provider of SaaS transportation management system (TMS) technology, announced it has begun expansion in Brazil with the hiring of Luiz Martins who will serve as sales director for Latin America, helping Eyefreight amplify its reach in the region with local commercial and implementation capabilities. This initiative follows Eyefreight’s recent North American expansion, setting up U.S. headquarters in Evanston, IL. for one of the fastest growing TMS providers in Europe.

“Eyefreight understands the strategic importance and complexity of the Latin American supply chain economy and sees Brazil as the center of the rapid growth occurring across the region,” said Ken Fleming, CEO of Eyefreight. “Luiz’s experience in the field, his knowledge of the transportation management space in Brazil and his sales expertise provide a critical foundation for Eyefreight to build upon in the Latin American market.”

Luiz Martins brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, operations and supply chain management to Eyefreight, having worked in leadership positions for several multinational companies, overseeing large projects and communities. Luiz has implemented and rolled out technologies and supply chain services to multiple countries during his career.

Eyefreight has tripled in size since its founding in 2008. This success, coupled with a recent $11.8 million funding round, has enabled Eyefreight to continue to enhance the company’s SaaS product, a comprehensive transportation management system that provides visibility, optimization and collaboration in even the world’s most complex shipping markets to reduce cost of distribution by 10-30 percent for customers such as Campari, Heineken, Levi’s, Mango and Tata Steel.
