Winona, MN - Fastenal Company released the numbers for their January sales month, noting that net sales rose 6.7% year over year.
Net sales in January of 2014 were $293,176 (Dollar amounts in thousands), up from $274,866 in the same month of 2013. The daily sales were $13,326, up 6.7% from $12,494 in 2013.

During January 2014, unusual weather impacted our business in North America. Two distribution centers (Indianapolis, IN and Atlanta, GA) were shut down for multiple days, and our entire trucking network was impacted.
