Fastenal Manufacturing Announces Sponsorship Of Olympian Noelle Pikus-Pace

As part of the sponsorship, Fastenal Manufacturing produced Pikus-Pace’s Olympic skeleton sled, which was designed by her husband, Janson Pace. This is the second of two sleds machined by Fastenal Manufacturing for Pikus-Pace.

Winona, MN - Fastenal Manufacturing will sponsor Olympic skeleton sled racer Noelle Pikus-Pace as she travels to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.  Pikus-Pace is favored to medal in Sochi and has previously won 16 medals in the 2012 Pre-Olympic season.  As part of the sponsorship, Fastenal Manufacturing produced Pikus-Pace’s Olympic skeleton sled, which was designed by her husband, Janson Pace. This is the second of two sleds machined by Fastenal Manufacturing for Pikus-Pace. The first was manufactured in 2009 for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, where Pikus-Pace placed fourth. Janson Pace had this to say about Fastenal Manufacturing:

In 2009 I spent a great deal of time designing a sled for Noelle to compete on for the 2010 Olympic season. It came down to the wire to have the sled manufactured so we could assemble it in time for team trials. That’s where Fastenal came into the picture. I worked with the Minnesota facility where the parts for her sled were manufactured in record time and with impeccable machining. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with the process and the finished parts.

Pikus-Pace and her husband toured the Fastenal Manufacturing facilities on Monday and met with Fastenal leaders.  Fastenal Manufacturing, a division of Fastenal Company, is a world-class manufacturer of quality custom-machined parts at their 10 manufacturing locations in the U.S. and across the globe.
