New location will create 70 new full-time jobs

Newport News, VA – Ferguson recently broke ground on a 400,000-square-foot distribution center in Celina, Ohio. The company will create 70 new full-time jobs at the 77-acre site, which is scheduled to open in late fall. The city of Celina, located in Mercer County, was chosen because of its close proximity to other Ferguson locations in the Midwest.

“Our distribution centers are the heart of our supply chain,” said Al Byrd, Ferguson’s senior vice president of supply chain. “The Celina DC will allow us to get our customers the products they need quickly, even the next day. We are excited to grow our infrastructure in the Midwest and better serve our customers while also providing new jobs for the region.”

Jared Ebbing, economic development director for Mercer County, said "We're very fortunate and blessed that they found us and gave us the time to explain who we are as a people and how great a match we believe this county is for a company with Ferguson’s reputation.  Logistically speaking, I think it’s a perfect fit for this area. It’s a definitely a win for the region and the state of Ohio as a whole.”

Ferguson currently has 11 distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. The DCs stock more than 80,000 different products and employ more than 1,000 associates.
