Net sales in February of 2013 were $254,861 (Dollar amounts in thousands), up from 247,248 in the same month of 2012. The daily sales were $12,743, up 8.2% from 11,774 in 2012.
Commentary on sales growth and end markets:
End market (daily sales change) - During the month, manufacturing customers grew 8.2% and non-residential construction customers grew 4.3%.
Sales growth - The change in currencies in foreign countries (primarily Canada) relative to the United States dollar reduced our daily sales growth rate by 0.1% during the month.
