Happy birthday IDC-USA! Twenty-five years ago IDC-USA started with a small group of independent companies looking for ways to compete in the power transmission market with large, publicly traded distribution companies. In 1988 this group that came together to increase its buying power was formally incorporated as Independent Distributors Cooperative-USA. Today the cooperative is comprised of 87 independent companies that span the United States.
IDC's distributors are a diverse group of independent companies that do not fit into the same mold. Some companies have only one location while others have over 30. Some have been established for decades yet others have only been in business for a few years. IDC attribute its 25 years of success to thinking outside the box by recognizing that each distributor requires a different level of support.
Empowering distributors to successfully compete in today’s marketplace continues to be IDC's main focus. Through unique solutions and services distributors gain access to competitive pricing and increased profit margins, marketing tools, sales support, and on-site and online training.

Established in 1988, IDC-USA is a distributor-owned purchasing and national marketing cooperative of independent distributors of industrial bearing, power transmission and industry related products. The cooperative currently consists of over 260 independent distributor branches located nationwide and has over style billion in annual sales. IDC-USA's Distribution Center, IDC University and Corporate Offices are headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. IDC-USA serves the western half of the United States from its Reno, Nevada distribution center.
