Peter Kosciolek Retires From Snap-On After 45-Year Career

Peter began that day back in 1967 as a production control clerk with J.H. Williams in Buffalo, N.Y. He steadily moved up the company, working in engineering and then in inventory control. In 1984 he relocated with the company to Atlanta, and then two years later he and his family moved again, this time just a bit down the road to Columbus, Ga.

Kenosha, WI – Peter Kosciolek remembers his first day at work for J.H. Williams Tool Co., like it happened yesterday.

“I remember my first day back in August 1967, I read a lot of books to learn about the company,” said Kosciolek, product and program manager, Snap-on Industrial Brands. “All these years later and here I am…but the time has gone by so quickly.”

Friday, Dec. 20, marks the last day on the job for Kosciolek, putting to close an illustrious career that spans 45 years.

He began that day back in 1967 as a production control clerk with J.H. Williams in Buffalo, N.Y. He steadily moved up the company, working in engineering and then in inventory control. In 1984 he relocated with the company to Atlanta, and then two years later he and his family moved again, this time just a bit down the road to Columbus, Ga. J.H. Williams was acquired by Snap-on in 1993, and he continued working for the company to this day in Columbus.

“I’ve been involved in just about everything the company has to offer,” Kosciolek said of all the positions and projects he headed up through the years. “I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve been a part of with J.H. Williams and Snap-on. The company today is so focused on its employees; it’s a great company to work for.”

“Pete has been a great asset for Snap-on and has been instrumental in helping to grow the Snap-on Industrial Brands to where it is today,” said Ed Liss, marketing services manager, Snap-on Industrial. “People like Pete don’t come along every day; he will be sorely missed, but we wish him and Sandra well in retirement.”

Kosciolek and his wife, Sandra, plan to spend part of their retirement traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren in Atlanta and Tulsa.
