IBC Welcomes TechMet Carbides Inc. As A Preferred Supplier

TechMet provides carbide blanks to many of the major tool suppliers, as well as carbide insert blanks, saw tips and wear parts, which are a valuable addition to IBC’s network of cutting tools suppliers. Techmet has a fully functional lab on-site to provide customers with metallurgical analysis as well as a newly opened Technical Center complete with state of the art CNC machines for testing carbide products.

Hartford, CT – IBC announced today the addition of TechMet Carbides Inc. as a preferred supplier to IBC's IndustrialSupplyPlus® division.

Located in North Carolina, TechMet has been the exclusive agent in North America for the Xiamen Golden Egret Special Alloy Company since 1998. GESAC is the largest producer and exporter in China for tungsten metal powder, tungsten carbide powder and cemented carbide products. GESAC’s major holder is Xiamen Tungsten Corp who is heavily involved in mining of tungsten and rare earth materials. TechMet provides world class carbide blanks to many of the major tool suppliers, as well as carbide insert blanks, saw tips and wear parts, which are a valuable addition to IBC’s network of cutting tools suppliers.
