WASHINGTON, DC â€” With a reception and dinner Jan. 31, 2017, the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) convenes its much-anticipated Executive Summit in Washington, DC, to help best-in-class wholesaler-distributors from diverse wholesale distribution lines of trade exchange ideas and best practices with other industry leaders with whom they don’t compete. The event concludes Thursday afternoon, Feb. 2.

Attendees who register and book their rooms at The Fairmont Washington, DC hotel by Thursday, Dec. 15, will receive a $100 room credit. Additional registrants from the same company will receive a discount on their registration fees. More details including how to register are available at www.naw.org/es17.

The NAW 2017 Executive Summit will focus on “Navigating the Seas of Disruption,” which speaks to the challenges distributors face today: a tough economy, advancing technology, rapidly changing customer requirements, shifting demographics, and tight margins. Distributors are at a crossroads where they must take bold, innovative steps toward becoming more customer centric, leading to a maximization of the overall customer experience.

The NAW Executive Summit program will explore the many marketplace disrupters that are causing distributors to rethink their approach to technology, business processes and, most importantly, the customer experience. Our goal is for distributors to leave the NAW Executive Summit inspired with robust leadership takeaways that they’ll be able to immediately brainstorm with their management teams and put into action at their companies.

We continue to add new sessions and speakers to the program. Here are the sessions and speakers scheduled so far. Wholesale distribution leaders should check back frequently for updates at www.naw.org/es17.

The Best Networking in the Industry
What we hear consistently from participants is that the NAW Executive Summit features the best in social networking as wholesaler-distributors renew acquaintances and talk business with peers from a variety of wholesale distribution industry lines of trade. Distributors can add their own perspectives to the program during discussion roundtables (for wholesale distribution and manufacturer executives only). Here, participants network with peers from across the industry and find out what’s working and what isn’t in distribution today.
