The leaks (don’t) stop here
August 22, 2007

For those who have followed the saga of the Big Dig tunnel problems in Boston, here’s the latest news. A new inspection has found 500 leaks and that doesn’t include leaks already being handled by the project’s contractors, according to the Boston Herald. Future leaks are inevitable, the newspaper reported.

The leaks are occurring in the Interstate 93 Thomas P. “Tip” O’ Neill Jr.  Tunnel. The Big Dig project’s costs are now at $14.798 billion, the most expensive public works project in U.S. history.
