Bailey’s proposal gets unanimous agreement
As president of IDC-USA, Jack Bailey has submitted more than a few proposals to the distribution co-op members. But the one he submitted at the group’s gala dinner event last Wednesday night drew unanimous support from the IDC’s shareholder-members and preferred suppliers.
After handing out the large rebate checks from the group’s preferred suppliers, Bailey asked Lisa Cooper, his girlfriend of 18 months, to accompany him on stage. In front of more than a few hundred people (his extended family, he noted) the tuxedo-clad Bailey asked for her hand in marriage.
Cooper, described as the first lady of IDC, accepted.
“I’m glad she did, because I didn’t have a fallback plan,” Bailey said, laughing.
Jack and Lisa received a standing ovation. We’ll have more information from this meeting in later blogs, including a prestigious award Bailey received.
