Parker Hannifin Acquires Actuator Maker Helac Corporation: Parker has acquired Enumclaw, WA-based Helac Corporation. which specializes in the design and manufacture of helical rotary actuators, known for their torque output, compact dimensions, high load-bearing capability and rugged, reliable performance. The company also manufactures a line of attachments primarily for use in material handling and construction equipment markets. It's the second major acquisition for Parker in the past three months, as the company announced a $4.3 billion purchase of CLARCOR in December.

Fastenal Adds Nearly 400 Store Personnel In January As Sales Growth Persists: Fastenal's daily sales had year-over-year growth for a seventh-straight month in January and grew by the second-biggest margin in the past year. Meanwhile, the company added 388 employees to its stores during the month.
