Cloverdale Paint buys Canadian adhesives and coating firm

Cloverdale Paint Inc. acquired Guertin Coatings, Sealants and Polymers Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.

Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Guertin makes liquid and powder industrial coatings, resins, sealants and adhesives for the industrial coatings market.

Surrey, British Columbia-based Cloverdale, which owns Calgary, Alberta-based Far-go Paint Inc. and Portland, Ore.-based Rodda Paint Co., has plants in Surrey, Portland, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. Guertin will operate under its own banner and existing management will continue to run the business, Cloverdale said in a statement.
