Newton, Mass.—George J. Hayward is the newest entrant into The National Industrial Glove Distributors Assn.'s Hall of Fame.

Hayward has been in the industry since 1972, working for Edmont-Wilson, Standard Glove and West Chester Marketing. In 1982 he founded United Sales Associates, a manufacturer's representative firm and now one of the largest sales agencies in the glove industry.

Hayward was the first "rep" to be elected to the NIGDA board of directors and has served on several association committees. He is manager of international development for the Manufacturers' Agents National Assn.

Hayward will receive his award this month during a ceremony held in conjunction with Safety Week 2001 at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, N.C.
