Waterloo, Ontario—The Descartes Systems Group Inc., a provider of global Internet logistics solutions, took an equity position in Sameday, a developer of rapid-response product distribution software.

Descartes will integrate Sameday's Syntempo inventory sourcing technology into its complete Internet-based inventory management solution. It said the combined products will help users gain visibility and control — in motion and at rest — over unallocated and allocated inventory. Descartes is one of five companies that took an equity position in Sameday.
