STAFDA to meet in Denver Nov. 9-11

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Assn. will hold its 32nd Annual Convention & Trade Show Nov. 9-11 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.As of October 1, more than 900 exhibit booths had been sold and convention planners were expecting nearly 5,000 attendees at the three-day show.
This year's General Session keynote speaker is Fox Business News anchor Stuart Varney, who will speak on “21st Century America: A New Day in Politics, Culture and Business.”
Mona Zinman, co-CEO of PrimeSource Building Products, will deliver STAFDA’s Associate State-of-the-Industry speech.
“During this economic slowdown, it's important we retain and strengthen our contacts with colleagues and vendors,” says STAFDA president Rick Peterson, who is also president of All-West Fasteners Inc. of Seattle and will deliver the distributor State-of-the-Industry report in Denver. “[STAFDA members] are all in this together and together we'll come out of it.”
Workshop speakers will include Ernie Doud, president of Doud Hausner & Associates; memory expert Bob Gray; John Mackay, president of the Mackay Research Group; and Michael Marks, president of Indian River Consulting Group.
The STAFDA Tech & Consultant’s Fair is slated for Sunday, Nov. 9. Among the scheduled exhibitors are Activant, Distribution One, FOCUS Graphics and Rubber Tree Systems.
Speakers for the Tech & Consultant’s Fair workshops include Cyndi Sax, a principal at Caliper Assessment Inc., and Steve Epner, founder of Brown Smith Wallace Consulting Group.
The Trade Show takes place Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 10 and 11.
