Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC will hike prices between 5 percent and 25 percent for some of its products, effective Sept. 1.The French industrial gases distributor’s American division said it will raise its prices for cylinder oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and other products between 5 percent and 20 percent. Prices for helium will rise between 20 percent and 25 percent, cylinder rental fees will increase 10 percent and delivery charges will rise by 25 percent.
“Rising raw material costs, along with growing energy and world commodity costs, are driving this inflation. This is further compounded by rising labor and insurance costs and the escalating cost of distribution associated with sourcing and delivery,” Air Liquide America Specialty Gases president Guy Rowland said.
