Barnes Aerospace expands Singapore MRO operation

Barnes Aerospace doubled the size of its MRO operation in Singapore, expanding its reach into the Asian aftermarket business.

The jet engine and turbine repair provider, which is a subsidiary of Barnes Group Inc., also has operations in Connecticut and Ohio.

“Our expanded operations in Singapore greatly increase our global aftermarket capacity and enhance our ability to meet growing customer demands in the market,” Barnes Group president and CEO Greg Milzcik said. “One of the major aviation centers in Asia, Singapore has been a very successful business hub for us since 1990, and we look forward to continuing to deliver high quality local service to our customers.”

Barnes Group also owns Barnes Distribution, which ranked 17th on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2008 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2007 sales of $537.7 million.
