From wireless bar code scanners to RFP “scoring” solutions to Web-based ERP systems, a host of products aim to help distributors improve their operations

LXE Inc.'s 8650 Bluetooth Ring Scanner is designed to link any Bluetooth-enabled handheld, wearable, fixed-station or vehicle-mounted computer with a lightweight, hands-free wireless mobile bar code scanner.
Activant Solutions Inc.'s Eclipse Mobile Advanced is designed to give distributors access to commonly used data from a wireless device. The product links a wireless mobile device with back-office Eclipse software.
Selltis LLC launched a new version of its Sales 5.0 CRM package. The hosted Software-as-a-Service-based product includes tools to automate marketing, lead management, quoting and field service processes. It manages front-end sales processes and offers a new Partner Relationship Management module that links users with sales channel partners.
Catalog Data Solutions' CAD model download solution allows distributors to provide customers with downloadable, three-dimensional CAD models of their products. The company also offers interactive online catalogs, e-commerce and product configuration solutions.
NDS Systems is offering an enterprise site license for its entire On Oracle ERP Solution for $1. The deal includes a three-year product support contract for the package's 38 enterprise modules, 1,600 programs and e-business capability for supply chain and customer service operations.
Industrial Data & Information Inc. released the 12th version of its Advanced Warehouse Management System RFP product, which allows distributors to “score” vendor responses to requests for proposals using 1,400 detailed questions on subjects including security, costs, supply chain event management, databases and operating systems, receiving, put-away and picking, packing and shipping.
Mustang Technologies released a new version of its TracReturns Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) software, designed to track the product returns process for manufacturers and distributors. The software tracks the complete cycle, from the customer's initial phone call through receiving and repairing the product and its final return to the customer.
Cutwater standardized its Cutwater BI software to provide reporting across multiple areas in wholesale distribution. The software provides summary and detailed data across sales, invoicing, orders, stocks and purchasing operations. The Microsoft-based product is pre-configured for ERP/transaction tools commonly used by wholesale distributors.
Ramco developed its ERP OnDemand platform as a scalable solution for smooth migration from internal and external legacy applications. The hosted solution does not require new hardware or software installations and provides around-the-clock access via an Internet connection.
Innotas added a Web services Application Programming Interface to its On-Demand solution that integrates the product with CRM, ERP and other enterprise applications.
Click Commerce Inc. released its WMX version 2.0 Warehouse Management System, featuring a new cross-dock capability for distributing inventory across multiple warehouses or facilities based on demand and rules-based requirements.
