Simpson Manufacturing buys ProTech Systems

Industrial Distribution staff -- Industrial Distribution, 6/18/2008 8:58:00 AM

A subsidiary of Simpson Manufacturing Co. Inc. acquired venting products manufacturer ProTech Systems Inc. for $7.5 million in cash and up to $2.25 million in performance incentives.

New York-based ProTech, which was purchased by Simpson Dura-Vent Co. Inc., manufactures and distributes venting products.

Pleasanton, Calif.-based Simpson makes fasteners, adhesives, powder-actuated tools and venting products.
