Kimball Midwest posts record first quarter

Kimball Midwest posted sales of $32.4 million in the first quarter of 2008, an increase of 20 percent over the same period last year.The Columbus, Ohio-based fasteners and MRO distributor products credited greater market penetration and the expansion of its sales force as key factors in the uptick.
Kimball was ranked 46th in Industrial Distribution’s 2008 Big 50 list of distributors with 2007 sales of $114 million.
