Veyance Technologies to buy Alabama conveyor installer

Veyance Technologies Inc. agreed to acquire conveyor belt installation, splice and repair service provider National Belt Service for an undisclosed amount.Bessemer, Ala.-based NBS employs about 75 workers and has annual sales of roughly $20 million. Former owners Billy Sibley, John Henley and Ray Gilker will remain with the company, which also has operations in Wheeling and Charleston, W.Va., and Atlanta, Ga.
“Our expanding presence in services helps us provide our distributors and their customers with value-added support,” general manager of industrial services Bret Hall said. “This acquisition gives us a more comprehensive conveyor belt solution for end users.”
It’s the second belt services acquisition for the former Goodyear Engineered Products division, which bought Monk Mining Supply of Tazewell, Va., in February.
