Veyance Technologies announces price hikes

Veyance Technologies Inc. is raising its prices July 1 in response to rising raw material, energy and freight costs.

The Fairlawn, Ohio-based former Goodyear Engineered Products division, which manufactures industrial hose, hydraulics, power transmission belts, conveyor belts, rubber track, metal fittings and sprockets, said it will increase prices by 6 percent to 9.5 percent.

Customers of its transportation aftermarket business will see prices rise 5 percent to 7 percent for aftermarket belts, hose, tensioners and air springs.

It’s the second price hike for Veyance, which boosted prices 3 percent to 8 percent in its industrial and consumer channels earlier this year.
