Safety Leadership Forum set for June 22-24 in Nashville
-- Industrial Distribution, 6/1/2008
The Safety Equipment Distributors Assn. will hold its annual Safety Leadership Forum June 22-24 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville.
The Safety Leadership Forum had been known as Safety Week until SEDA officials approved the name change in 2007.
The overall safety industry has grown considerably in recent years and a large turnout is expected in Nashville, according to SEDA officials.
Reflecting the growth in safety-related companies, this year's Executive Conference Appointments have been expanded to 20 minutes in order to provide more time for distributors and manufacturers to meet.
SEDA will also introduce new training and professional development opportunities available to members through its University of Safety Distribution.
Speakers include Rick Fulwiler, course director of SEDA's Qualified Safety Sales Professional training program, who will speak on “Revisiting the Health and Safety Value Proposition in a Changing Economy.”
Another speaker is Rob Stevenson, author of “How to Soar Like an Eagle in a World Full of Turkeys.” With budget crunches, global competition and pressure to make better decisions faster, success requires businesses to be aggressive and innovative. Stevenson will discuss the best ways SEDA companies can survive in today's business climate.
