BSA releases Smart Bearing Technology briefThe Bearing Specialists Assn. has released the latest in its line of Bearing Briefs—single-topic publications written and designed by BSA distributor members and participating manufacturers.
The latest topic is Smart Bearing Technology, which integrates bearings and sensors to provide accurate monitoring of overall bearing performance. That information is often the key to keeping equipment running efficiently and cost-effectively.
Smart bearings are used in a number of industries, such as automotive wheel applications that collect speed data used to operate anti-lock brakes.
Bearing Briefs are created by BSA's Educational Services Committee. Past topics have included bearing repair, ceramic bearings, wear sleeves and bearing installation fitting. They can be downloaded free of charge.
