Durable goods orders slip 0.3 percent in March

New orders for manufactured durable goods slipped by 0.3 percent in March to $212.2 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

It’s the third consecutive monthly decrease, following a 0.9 percent February slide. Excluding transportation, new orders increased 1.5 percent. Excluding defense, new orders increased 0.3 percent.
