Timken hikes specialty bar prices

The Timken Co. plans to raise its base prices on hot-rolled, cold-finished and thermal-treated special bar products by up to $50 per ton, based on size.

The Canton, Ohio-based bearings manufacturer said the price hike goes into effect July 1. Raw-material surcharges will remain in effect, the company said.
