Trelleborg to buy Italian seals manufacturer

Trelleborg agreed to acquire Italian seals manufacturer Officine Meccaniche GNL SpA for an undisclosed amount.

Modena, Italy-based Officine Meccaniche, which employs about 60 workers and has annual sales of roughly $15 million, makes specialty seals for heavy-duty applications in the construction, mining and agricultural industries.

Stockholm, Sweden-based Trelleborg said the company, once the deal closes during the second quarter, will be integrated into its sealing solutions division.
