The decision-making process for setting prices is the subject of a program this summer at Texas A&M's Read Center for Distribution Research and Excellence.

“Pricing Optimization: Scientific Pricing Framework—New Methods, Tools and Techniques to Increase Profitability” will be held Aug. 21-22 at the school's College Station, Texas, campus.

The session will focus on how a company's pricing decision can determine at least half of its profitability.

The session is aimed at sales managers, branch and regional managers, purchasing and pricing professionals and general, distribution management-level employees.
