Viking Group to sell fire alarm business

The Viking Group plans to sell its Viking Electronic Services (VES) subsidiary to Kentec Electronics Ltd. for an undisclosed amount, effective April 24.

Questor, England-based Kentec will operate VES, which makes fire alarm and detection products, under the Kentec and VES banners.

Hastings, Mich.-based Viking said it made the deal to focus on its core fire sprinkler business.
