Graybar’s 2007 sales rise 5 percent

Graybar Electric Co. Inc. posted sales of $5.25 billion last year, up 5 percent compared with $5 billion during the prior year.

The St. Louis-based electrical and MRO distributor’s net income rose 45 percent to more than $83 million, compared with $57 million during fiscal 2006.

“We had a banner year in 2007 with record sales and profitability," chairman, president and CEO Robert Reynolds Jr. said. “Our investments in technology and commitment to organic growth enabled us to improve our bottom-line results.”

Graybar ranked sixth on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION's 2007 Top 10 List of Electrical Distributors, with sales of $5.01 billion during fiscal 2006.
