PrimeSource to buy Coast to Coast Building Products

PrimeSource Building Products Inc. agreed to acquire Coast to Coast Building Products Inc. for an undisclosed amount, the Dallas Business Journal reported.

Carrollton, Texas-based PrimeSource said the deal expands its footprint into the Southeast, the Caribbean and Central America.

Miami-based Coast to Coast, which had sales of roughly $26 million last year according to the business journal, has locations in Pompano Beach, Orlando and Tallahassee, Fla., and Atlanta, Ga. The company employs 75 people.

"Since 1996, Peter Daniels and Richard Marcus have grown Coast to Coast into one of the major distributors serving Florida, Georgia and Alabama and portions of Tennessee and North and South Carolina," PrimeSource co-CEO Ken Fishbein said.

Daniels will join PrimeSource, which has 36 distribution centers in North American and employs more than 1,100 people, to head the company's Southeast operations.
