Parker Hannifin Corp. acquired Vansco Electronics LP for an undisclosed amount.Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Vansco, which manufactures electronic controls, posted sales of $180 million last year and employs about 1,000 people at facilities in Canada, the United States, Finland, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Parker said Vansco’s mobile equipment systems for agricultural, construction, material handling, bus, RV and specialty truck equipment are sold to one of its primary markets; roughly 83 percent of Vansco’s products are sold to the same customers as Parker’s Industrial North America segment. The acquisition will be integrated into Parker's hydraulic technology business.
"We are very excited to welcome Vansco to Parker," hydraulics group president Jeff Cullman said. "Its controls are complementary to our IQAN controllers and sensors, which will allow us to completely integrate motion control systems for mobile equipment produced by leading international manufacturers. Parker and Vansco share a common customer base and the combined strength of the two companies will further our ability to engineer complete systems and improve the productivity and profitability of our customers' products."
