Distributors expand in three states

A trio of distributors are opening new facilities in three states.

Capital Lighting and Supply

Capital Lighting and Supply opened a new branch in Annapolis, Md., The Capital newspaper reported.

The Sonepar USA subsidiary’s new, 11,000-square-foot location, its first in Maryland’s Anne Arundel County, features a “media room” display of security, entertainment and communications products and a line of energy-saving products.

Capital Lighting has 21 stores in Maryland and Virginia.

Sonepar ranked first on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Top 10 List of Electrical Distributors, with 2006 sales of $12.4 billion.

F.W. Webb

Plumbing and heating products distributor F.W. Webb Co. plans to break ground on a new warehouse in Concord, N.H., the Concord Monitor reported.

The 85,000-square-foot facility will include a bathroom products showroom, featuring working faucets, toilets and showers. It’s the seventh new Hampshire location for the company, which ranked 18th on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2006 sales of $583 million.

HD Supply

HD Supply expanded its distribution center in Memphis, Tenn., to more than 283,000 square feet, the Commercial Appeal of Memphis reported.
