Wolseley Acquires 5 Companies

Wolseley plc spent $66.6 million buying five bolt-on companies, taking its total purchases this fiscal year to 15.
The British building materials supplier has spent about $410 million on buyouts since the fiscal year began August 1, 2007.
In North America, Wolseley's Ferguson Enterprises plumbing and HVAC subsidiary bought plumbing distributor C.B. Group Inc. of San Francisco, which does business under the JC Plumbing Supply banner. The company, which has two locations, posted sales of $4.4 million during 2006.
Ferguson also acquired Mastercraft Cabinets Inc., a cabinet distributor with a single location in Naples, Fla., and 2006 sales of $5.1 million.
Wolseley's Stock Building Supply division bought Precision Doors & Hardware LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based commercial and industrial door products sales and service provider with five stores and 2006 sales of $43.3 million.
Wolseley's Eastern Europe division acquired Gama Myjava sro, a Slovakian plumbing, heating and sanitary ware distributor with eight branches in Slovakia and five in the Czech Republic. Gama had sales of $32.3 million in 2006.
In Great Britain, Wolseley bought PFC Corofil Firestops Ltd., a passive fire protection products distributor with a single location in Surrey, England. PFC had sales of $3.8 million during fiscal 2007.
