Kaman Industrial Technologies agreed to acquire Industrial Supply Corp. of Richmond, Va., for an undisclosed amount.

The deal, which was expected to close March 31, brings ISC's power transmission, fluid power, material handling and industrial MRO supply business and its five branches in Virginia and North Carolina under the Kaman umbrella. ISC posts annual sales of roughly $55 million.

“This acquisition supports our corporate strategy of accelerating the growth of KIT by expanding our geographic footprint in major industrial markets throughout North America. It will provide Kaman access to new markets, expand our offering of products and services and increase our capability to service major national and regional customers,” Kaman Corp. chairman, president and CEO Neal Keating said.

Kaman ranked 17th on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION's 2007 Big 50 list of distributors with sales of $665.4 million in 2006.
