BSA convention April 26-29

-- Industrial Distribution, 4/1/2008

The Bearing Specialists Assn. will hold its 2008 convention April 26-29 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz.

Speakers scheduled to address BSA business sessions include Jim Cathcart, whose motivational presentation on April 27 is titled “Purpose-Driven Leadership.”

Also on April 27, Bruce Warmbold, president and CEO of Schaeffler Group USA Inc.—and a member of the American Bearing Manufacturers Assn. board of directors—will update attendees on the global bearing market. The ABMA address is one of the more anticipated events of the BSA convention each year. Warmbold's focus on the international marketplace will be especially timely, according to convention planners.

On April 28, author Jeff Fox will address the potential of what he calls “dollarization” for the global bearing industry. Fox introduced the concept of dollarization in his books “How to Become a Rainmaker” and “How to Become a Marketing Superstar.”

BSA's manufacturer-hosted Conference Table Session on April 29 is another convention highlight. The session allows participants to pre-schedule and plan for face-to-face meetings to address industry concerns and resolve business problems.
