Rep. Hunter honored by Hand Tools Institute

The Hand Tools Institute presented United States Rep. Duncan Hunter (R.-Calif.) with the Hand Tools Institute American Manufacturing Champion Award.

Hunter is the first recipient of the award, which recognizes legislators that demonstrate strong support for manufacturing.

Scott Meyer, president-emeritus of HTI, presented the award and pointed to Congressman Hunter's “tireless efforts to combat predatory trade policies, ranging from currency manipulation to illegal subsidies designed to achieve industrial supremacy at America's expense.”

Headquartered in Tarrytown, N.Y., the Hand Tool Institute is an association of American hand tool manufacturers.
