Cooper Industries buys Swedish filtration firm

Cooper Industries Ltd. acquired Filtronic AB, a Swedish fume extraction products manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount.

The Houston-based welding products manufacturer will add Filtronic, which makes mobile filter systems for toxic gases, smoke and dust and has distributors in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia, to its Cooper Tools division.
