Lewis-Goetz acquires conveyor installer/servicer

Lewis-Goetz and Co. Inc. acquired JA-MAR Conveyor and Components for an undisclosed amount.Bellaire, Ohio-based JA-MAR provides conveyor system installation and services. Owner Mark Allen will remain with the company as general manager.
“The combination of JA-MAR’s exceptional service capabilities with Lewis-Goetz’s products and sales force is a natural fit,” Lewis-Goetz president and CEO Jeffrey Crane said. “It will help us further our goal of being a total conveyor system service provider to our customers. JA-MAR’s outstanding reputation for service and commitment to its customers convinced us that they were the right partner in this endeavor.”
Pittsburgh-based Lewis-Goetz ranked 31st on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2006 sales of $210 million.
