HD Supply shutters Tucson plumbing branch

The downturn in the residential construction market is prompting HD Supply to shutter its plumbing and HVAC branch in Tucson, Ariz., the Arizona Daily Star reported.

The building materials distributor’s HD Supply Plumbing/HVAC branch will close in about a month, spokeswoman Erica Crosling told the newspaper.

The company’s HD Supply Waterworks location in Tucson will remain open, Crosling added.

HD Supply ranked second on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Big 50 list of distributors, with sales of $12.1 billion in 2006.
