Ferguson inks data collection deal

Ferguson Enterprises inked a deal with data collection provider Datamatic to sell the latter company’s products to utilities in the Northeast.

Wolseley’s plumbing and PVF products distribution unit will sell Plano, Texas-based Datamatic’s meter reading equipment in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. It’s the second partnership for the two companies, which entered a similar deal to cover the Western United States, Datamatic CEO Ken Kercher said.

“Ferguson has a very strong presence in [the Northeast] and shares our commitment to delivering the best automated meter reading products available. This relationship will give their customers better access to our world-class solutions and open new opportunities for Datamatic,” Kercher said.
