HD Supply to close some plumbing, HVAC divisions in Alabama

HD Supply Inc. said it will close its Mobile, Ala., HVAC and plumbing supply division by the end of this week, the Alabama Press Register reported. 

An HD Supply spokeswoman blamed the weak housing market for the decision. The division has about 12 employees. 

HD Supply's Mobile location also consists of a waterworks division, which HD Supply said will not be affected.

HD Supply’s other Mobile HVAC branch will remain open, the company said.
