Jackson Safety buys Finnish manufacturer

Jackson Safety acquired Safemaster OY, a welding helmet manufacturer based in Tampere, Finland, for an undisclosed amount.

The Fenton, Mo.-based safety products manufacturer/distributor said the deal expands its welding safety product line.

“Safemaster has consistently created innovative designs with functionality to improve the welder’s productivity and comfort,” Jackson Safety president and CEO Tom Burns said. “We are excited to welcome Safemaster into the Jackson Safety family, especially as we prepare for our 75th anniversary in 2008.”
