Emerson inks deal with Cisco

Emerson’s process management division inked a deal with Cisco Systems Inc. to develop wireless process and plant management applications for manufacturers.

The project will combine the diversified manufacturer’s wireless process applications, which monitor plant operations, with the information systems networking provider’s wireless plant networks.

Emerson will manage the project and deliver the wireless solution to customers.
